Who we are

Yovia is an AI companion app (the in-app character is called “Dollipop”), built and operated by independent developer zhangsenfu (zsf199701@gmail.com).

What we collect

Google account info. When you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account ID (a permanent string), email address, display name (optional), and avatar URL (optional). We never see your password.

Conversation content. Your voice and text exchanges with Dollipop are transcribed and stored, so the AI can keep track of context and you can resume across devices.

AI-extracted facts. The AI distills long-term facts about you from conversation (e.g. “user prefers coffee”) and stores them as readable text. You can clear them at any time from Settings.

Workspace items. Notes, reminders, calendar events, and photo memories that you ask Dollipop to save: their metadata (title / summary / tags) syncs to the cloud.

Stays on device. Photos taken by the look-around / capture-moment tools live only on your device. We do not upload them. Uninstalling the app removes them with normal Android data cleanup.

Usage data. Cumulative seconds of voice conversation and number of music generations (Lyria), used for quota tracking and subscription billing.

Device metadata.Device model, app version, and last-active timestamp, used for the “My Devices” list and unusual-login detection.

How we use it

  • Give Dollipop memory of your preferences and recent conversations
  • Sync your data so signing in on a new device picks up where you left off
  • Compute subscription quota and prevent abuse
  • Detect anomalous logins (we surface them in “My Devices”)

We do not:

  • Sell your data to third parties
  • Use your conversations to train any public AI model
  • Share your data with advertisers

Third-party services

The following services are involved in delivering Yovia:

  • Google Generative AI (Gemini Live + Lyria)— your voice and text are sent to Google's servers for AI inference. Google's policy: policies.google.com/privacy
  • Vercel hosts our backend API
  • Fly.io hosts our WebSocket proxy (Tokyo region)
  • Neon hosts our PostgreSQL database (Asia region)

Your rights

  • Revoke a device.Open Settings → My Devices and revoke any device's login at any time.
  • Delete your account. Open Settings → Delete account. We permanently erase your account record, all facts, all conversation history, all workspace items, all quota logs, all devices, and all refresh tokens. This action is not reversible.
  • Export your data. Request a JSON export by emailing us; we reply within 30 days.

Data retention

While your account is active: data is retained indefinitely. After account deletion: all of the above is cascade-deleted within 24 hours and cannot be recovered. Server access logs (which contain your user ID and request paths but not conversation content) rotate automatically after 30 days.

Children

Yovia is not designed for children under 13. If you believe an underage user has signed up, please email us so we can remove the account.

Policy updates

If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you in-app at least 7 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Yovia constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
